Welcome to EcoGreenPulse. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ecogreenpulse.com (the "Site"), operated from Lagos, Nigeria. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

EcoGreenPulse is published for a global audience, and these Terms apply to all users regardless of location, subject to Section 11 (Governing Law).

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account on EcoGreenPulse. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement. If we become aware that an account belongs to someone under 16, we may suspend or delete it.

2. Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate information when registering, whether via email/password or Google Sign-In.
  • You may delete your account at any time by contacting news@ecogreenpulse.com.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or pose a security risk to the Site.

3. Use of the Site

You agree not to:

  • Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or infringes on the rights of others
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, other accounts, or our infrastructure
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Site in a manner that places undue load on it, without our prior written consent
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt the Site's operation
  • Use the Site's comment sections for spam, advertising, or unrelated promotional content

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion.

4. Content

4.1 Our content

Articles, graphics, logos, and other original material published by EcoGreenPulse are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may share links to our articles and quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link back to the original article, consistent with fair use / fair dealing principles in your jurisdiction. Reproduction of full articles without permission is not permitted.

4.2 User-submitted content (comments)

When you post a comment, you retain ownership of what you write, but you grant EcoGreenPulse a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and moderate that content on the Site. You are solely responsible for the content you post. We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor, edit, or remove comments at our discretion, including comments that violate Section 3.

4.3 Third-party content and sources

Where we reference or link to third-party sources, studies, or news, we do so for informational purposes. We are not responsible for the accuracy or availability of external content we link to.

5. Newsletter and Notifications

If you opt in to our newsletter or browser push notifications, we will send you updates about new articles and, occasionally, announcements about the Site. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in newsletter emails, from your account settings, or by disabling notifications in your browser.

6. Advertising

The Site may display advertisements from third-party networks. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. Interactions with advertisements are subject to the advertiser's own terms and privacy practices.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. EcoGreenPulse publishes news and informational content about green energy and sustainable technology; this content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, legal, or professional advice. You should independently verify any information before relying on it for decisions of consequence.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, EcoGreenPulse and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including in jurisdictions that mandate certain consumer protections.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EcoGreenPulse and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

10. Changes to the Site and Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria — except where mandatory local consumer-protection law in your own country of residence provides you with rights that cannot be waived by this clause, in which case those mandatory protections will apply alongside these Terms.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
