- Push notification subscriptions: if you opt in to browser push notifications, we store a subscription token tied to your browser, used solely to deliver notifications about new articles you've asked to receive.
- Advertising data: if advertisements are displayed on the Site, we (and/or our advertising partners) may collect impression and click data, including IP address and general location, to measure ad performance and detect invalid traffic. We do not sell this data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Site and your account
- Send you newsletters and notifications you've opted in to

We do not sell your personal information.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: your consent (e.g. newsletter sign-up, push notifications, non-essential cookies), our legitimate interests (e.g. site security, basic analytics), and performance of a contract (e.g. maintaining your account). You may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
4. Your Rights
Regardless of where you are located, we aim to honor the following rights for all users:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: request that we delete your account and associated personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.

Residents of the European Economic Area and UK have these rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR. Residents of California have similar rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request deletion; we do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at news@ecogreenpulse.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law.
5. International Data Transfers
EcoGreenPulse is operated with infrastructure that may process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.
6. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for:
- Essential functions: keeping you logged in, remembering your theme preference (light/dark mode), and CSRF (security) protection. These cannot be disabled without breaking core site functionality.
- Analytics: Google Analytics (GA4) uses cookies to help us understand aggregate visitor behavior.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the Site (such as staying logged in) from working correctly.
7. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:
- Google Analytics — analytics. See Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Google Sign-In (OAuth) — authentication. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Workspace — for our own business email (news@ecogreenpulse.com).
- Cloudflare — DNS and network services.
- Amazon Web Services (Lightsail) — hosting infrastructure.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third parties.
8. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, security, or legitimate business purposes (e.g. fraud prevention records).
9. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the entire Site, hashed password storage, and access controls on our infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
EcoGreenPulse is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at news@ecogreenpulse.com and we will take steps to delete it.
